Job Summary

EDF Renewables North America is a leading independent power producer and service provider seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Process invoices for payment in our internal accounting system, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliations and payment verification to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Administer invoices to purchase orders, posting transactions to journals, and maintaining physical and electronic records.
  • Generate and distribute 1099 reporting, and prepare manual ACH/Wire requests online via web portal of bank.
  • Assist external vendor stakeholders with ad hoc requests, statement audits, or confirmations of outstanding payables.
  • Review changes to vendor Master Data and perform other basic clerical duties associated with the accounts payable function.
Requirements
  • Familiarization with an enterprise purchasing system, including purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially as it relates to vendor management and customer service.
  • High School Diploma or GED, bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • Five years of computerized accounts payable experience, ideally in a midsize company with a purchasing department.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and development skills.
  • Familiar with various software programs, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Working Conditions

This role will require working in an office environment, utilizing computers and other office equipment. The position will involve frequent use of phones, general office equipment, and various software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite products.
