Accounts Payable Specialist

CB Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their dynamic accounting team in Calgary. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Process and verify a high volume of accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage cheque runs, generate payments, and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform vendor account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the accounting team.
- 1+ year of experience in an accounts payable department of a mid-to-large sized company, with exposure to 3-way match.
- Accounting diploma and/or working towards CPA accounting designation.
- Knowledge of the accounting cycle and fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in SAP and a large ERP platform.
