Position Overview:
The role of the Clinical Speech Therapist is vital within a comprehensive healthcare framework.

This position is designed to integrate seamlessly into a collaborative team environment, focusing on the assessment and therapeutic intervention for patients in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
The Clinical Speech Therapist will:
1. Act as a crucial member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
2. Provide education and consultation services to enhance team practices.
3. Supervise students and therapy assistants, fostering a learning environment.
4. Deliver patient-centered care through evidence-based practices.

As a Clinical Speech Therapist, you will engage in both independent and collaborative clinical practice, which may involve partnerships with external organizations.

Core Duties:
You will be responsible for:
- Prevention and health promotion.
- Identification, assessment, and intervention strategies.
- Case management and service delivery planning in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Your clinical expertise will play a significant role in driving quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is mandatory.
- Active registration with the relevant professional body is required.
- A minimum of six months of experience in managing dysphagia within an adult outpatient or acute care context is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with effective problem-solving and organizational abilities, are crucial.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, is necessary.
