About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing clinical professional practice to patients and clients, working independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management services to patients and clients.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate.
  • Use clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Experience with program development, implementation of educational programs, and change management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership in Speech-Audiology Canada.
  • Training and experience in the area of dysphagia management.
  • McMaster Case Management training and understanding of the AHS Continuing Care Case Management Competency Framework.
  • Knowledge of the principles of adult learning.
  • Meditech and Connect Care experience.
  • Previous supervision of students.
