We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Elves Special Needs Society, a non-profit organization and Private School accredited by Alberta Education.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating children and youth with speech and language delays or disorders, as well as providing guidance and support to classroom staff in developing individualized communication programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and treat children and youth with speech and language delays or disorders
- Develop and implement individualized communication programs for students
- Provide guidance and support to classroom staff in implementing communication programs
- Collaborate with other professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive support to students
- Develop and present workshops to educational teams, families, and community members on communication and feeding disorders
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of communication and feeding disorders and provide in-services as necessary
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
- Experience working with children and youth with severe disabilities and augmentative communication systems
- Valid Driver's License
