We are currently seeking an on-call assistant for our postal service who adopts a customer-centric approach while delivering service at the counter to patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell postal products and services to both businesses and the general public.
  • Accurately sort, distribute, and process mail.
  • Provide customers with necessary information and documentation.
  • Address delivery and service-related issues to effectively resolve concerns.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience in business administration.
  • Training and/or experience in customer interaction within retail sales and/or service environments, including handling sales and cash transactions.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting systems or postal operations.
  • Adequate physical capability to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lbs, maneuver boxes, sort mail, and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Availability for temporary on-call assignments.
Additional Information:

Note:
Ideal candidates should reside within the community. Applicants living within a reasonable distance from the postal location may be considered as needed.

Security Clearance:

Selected individuals will need to undergo a security clearance process as part of the hiring procedure.

Critical Security Position:

This role may be classified as a critical security position and is subject to regulations under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
