We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Customer Service: Sell postal products and services to the business community and public, providing excellent customer service and support.
- Mail Processing: Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Customer Support: Provide customers with information and forms, address delivery and service difficulties, and resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
- Education: High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
- Experience: Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
- Skills: Understanding of general or post office accounting systems, physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time.
This is a part-time position, working 4 hours per week. The ideal candidate should reside in the community, and applicants within a 50 km radius of the Post Office may be considered as needed.
