Claims Representative I, Bodily Injury Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, interpret coverage, reserve adequately, negotiate, and settle bodily injury claims.
- Contribute to a client service culture by embedding client engagement philosophies into daily work and implementing innovative, client-centric decision making.
- Provide quality client service to our clients in accordance with claims service standards.
- Contact claimants, lawyers, policy holders, and witnesses in a timely manner in the investigation and resolution of claims.
- Set up and maintain files for assigned claims.
- Handle files in defense litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), using litigation management guidelines.
- Authorize payments and reserves of up to $75,000 authority.
Requirements
- One (1) year insurance experience or two (2) years related business experience.
- Working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses.
- Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, internet, and email systems.
- Provincial adjuster license(s) may be required, dependent on the province of work.
- University/College Degree.

- You will travel occasionally.
- You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
- Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events.
- You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
