Responsibilities:
- Handle assigned severe claims with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Conduct thorough investigations of each claim through communication with relevant parties
- Utilize internal and external resources for effective claim evaluation and resolution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files and documentation
- Negotiate claim settlements with insureds and claimants
- Manage litigated claims efficiently and effectively
- Attend legal proceedings as necessary
- Mentor and coach less experienced claims professionals
- Evaluate claims for potential for recovery and develop strategies for successful resolution
Requirements:
- University or College Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products and services
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- State insurance adjusting license (where applicable)
