What is the Opportunity?

This position involves the assessment and analysis of claims related to auto bodily injury under guidance. The role focuses on determining the extent of coverage for both policyholders and claimants. Key responsibilities include managing various claim types, adhering to policy and company standards, and fostering customer relationships. This role does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage claims of low to moderate severity and complexity.
  • Engage with insured individuals in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Offer clear and concise explanations regarding the claims process and coverage details.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients.
  • Participate in duties that may extend beyond regular hours.
  • Provide underwriting with pertinent information.
  • Investigate and assess claims to ascertain coverage, damages, and liability.
  • Document claims files following best practices.
  • Oversee claims inventory and settlements.
  • Examine policy conditions, provisions, and endorsements.
  • Review and evaluate invoices related to payments.
  • Maintain a diary system for proactive management of files.
  • Identify opportunities for salvage and subrogation.
  • Conduct necessary investigations for each claim managed.
  • Research relevant case law pertaining to casualty claims.
  • Establish reserves for claims and expenses.
  • Negotiate settlements within authorized limits.
  • Utilize cost containment tools to manage damages.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in file management.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Recognize potential subrogation opportunities.
  • Handle claims virtually across the nation.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Preferred University Degree or College Diploma.
  • Enrollment in the CIP program is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Adjusters license as necessary.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Proactive attitude and customer-centric approach.
  • Effective negotiation and mathematical skills.
  • Technical skills related to claims technology.

What Is a Must Have?

  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Required proficiency in computer technology.
  • Accurate numerical computation skills are essential.
  • Acquisition of Insurance License(s) may be necessary.
  • Possession of a company credit card may be required.
