About the Role

CIT Corp is seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Technician to join our team. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, often requiring creative problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of IT systems.
  • Incident Management: Manage and track incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of incidents, problems, and resolutions, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, to ensure seamless communication and effective issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is an asset, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, networking hardware, networking security, servers, and MS Windows.
