Role Summary

As a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving meaningful advancements in our DEI initiatives through collaborative partnerships across the organization.

In this position, you will report directly to the Director of DEI, Mental Health & Well-being, and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in the field. Your focus will be on building strong internal partnerships to strategize, implement, and assess impactful DEI programs. You will establish yourself as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing support to HR partners, leadership, and employee advocates in advancing our DEI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop strategies within various business units to enhance value.
  • Lead project teams and significant initiatives to ensure progress on our DEI journey, benefiting both the organization and its employees.
  • Offer expertise and strategic guidance to HR and leadership on DEI-related matters.
  • Promote Intact's DEI vision by delivering data-driven insights and coaching.
  • Contribute to the design, execution, and assessment of DEI initiatives, action plans, resources, and tools to achieve our DEI objectives at the business unit level.
  • Support employee relations and initiatives aimed at underrepresented talent to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within Intact.
  • Collaborate with various Human Resources teams and Centers of Expertise to address DEI challenges at the business unit level.
  • Benchmark best practices and analyze organizational metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing DEI across Intact.
  • Develop and implement project plans, change management strategies, and contribute to communication efforts.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on DEI, anti-racism, and decolonization.
  • Proven experience in leading and executing projects with a change management perspective.
  • Strong consultation skills to leverage subject matter expertise in developing and delivering initiatives that align with best practices and the specific needs of business units.
  • Proficiency in project and change management.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel for creating and presenting impactful presentations to business audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to advance the DEI agenda, foster allyship, and enhance collaboration across all levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives with a focus on achieving desired outcomes.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required, as regular interaction with English-speaking clients and colleagues is essential.
