The OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Program Manager, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is dedicated to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in organizations across Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, manage, and administer research-related programs and events that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the success of our programs and events.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote and measure the impact of our programs and research.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure the effective delivery of our programs and events.
- Acts with Integrity: Demonstrates behaviors aligned with high ethical standards and personal integrity, and acts in accordance with the university's values.
- Builds Relationships of Trust & Collaboration: Actively builds a culture of trust and fosters meaningful relationships.
- Leads Inclusively: Creates an inclusive environment where everyone is respected, recognized, empowered to achieve their potential, and valued for their differences.
- Demonstrates Organizational Acumen: Understands and respectfully navigates complex internal and external environments using sound judgment, diplomacy, and tact.
- Drives Vision & Results: Creates and implements a vision grounded in sound decision-making to achieve desired outcomes.
- Completion of a post-secondary degree program in Business, Communications, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Five years' experience in program management/coordination or a related field.
- Experience in an academic institution preferred.
- Experience in management and administration, including monitoring and overseeing program budgets.
- Experience in planning and promoting programming and events.
- Participation in national, provincial, and local initiatives that provide capacity to work collaboratively with other organizations and the ability to draw on resources.
- Leadership, management, and communication skills in the area of program development and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage in a process of program assessment, planning, implementation, knowledge sharing, and evaluation.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of educational best practices and trends.
