About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team at 3110433 Nova Scotia Ltd. As a key member of our food preparation team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is served in a clean and safe environment.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and manage kitchen operations to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure that all food is presented in a clean and attractive manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
