Daily Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks assigned by the Sous Chef, Head Chef, or General Manager
  • Prepare food daily in accordance with the standards of the establishment
  • Adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines as established by the restaurant
  • Keep a detailed list of station responsibilities
  • Implement the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure ingredient freshness
  • Assist with inventory management and control
  • Help in the proper receiving and storage of delivered goods
  • Maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils while strictly following sanitation, food safety, and hygiene protocols
  • Comply with WHMIS and MSDS regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Culinary diploma or degree is advantageous
  • Proficient understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife skills
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain composure under pressure
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Food Handler certification is a plus
