The primary aim of the Associate Account Manager (AAM) position is to enhance the sales of Medtronic's offerings and to shift market share from competitors while adhering to company policies and Medtronic's strategic vision. to take on full territory responsibilities as an Associate Account Manager, which may involve relocation within the region.
A Typical Day
• Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within a designated geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to achieve or surpass sales objectives.
• Responsible for cultivating, developing, and reinforcing long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals.
• Engages in lead generation, assesses customer needs, and delivers product services to maximize the advantages of Medtronic's offerings.
• Advocates for and facilitates education on the company's products and/or services.
• Conducts market analysis, including customer and competitor activities.
• Executes market development strategies and adapts as necessary.
• Communicates customer insights regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal teams, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing.
• Responsible for documenting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
• Enhance market penetration and drive additional sales for the assigned portfolio.
• Assists with various Sales & Marketing initiatives, including clinical case support as required by the assigned portfolio.
• The Account Manager serves as a mentor, sharing insights on building and expanding a successful territory.
• Achieve or exceed sales targets and other performance metrics.
• Expand sales of the assigned portfolio and other integrated programs within the territory. Meet and exceed sales goals, contributing to the overall team performance.
• Understand the sales cycle within the operating room environment.
• Implement business and marketing strategies at the field level in alignment with national and regional priorities.
• Collaborate with the Account Manager to prepare sales forecasts.
• Segment and leverage the assigned portfolio to maintain or establish key supplier status at the institutional level.
• Acquire knowledge of technologies, products, procedures, competitors, and their offerings to effectively advise and support customers.
• Regularly organize and cover territory.
• Develop and apply a comprehensive understanding of account structures and objectives.
• Manage and optimize field inventory, including consignment stock and products nearing expiration.
• Document all customer-initiated clinical activities and significant sales activities in SalesForceDotCom.
• Ensure ongoing personal training on all product lines and stay updated on current literature related to product lines.
• Effectively utilize field tools and iPad content with customers.
• Support clinical demands and requirements of accounts.
• Provide necessary training to customers on assigned portfolio products and services.
• Be aware of the strategic plans of institutions, ensuring alignment to maintain and grow market share while introducing new therapies.
• Participate in assigned portfolio product trials and clinical evaluations.
• Engage in major North American and local/regional meetings.
• Uphold Medtronic's ethical standards and effectively communicate and manage compliance with the code of conduct.
• Adhere to operating policies, business conduct standards, systems, and processes.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or GED, or;
• Associate's Degree/College Diploma, or;
• Bachelor's degree.
• Computer literacy/training programs
JOB EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a High School Diploma or GED, or;
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with an Associate's Degree/College Diploma, or;
• No minimum years of relevant work experience in the healthcare field or engineering field, with a bachelor's degree.

Base Salary Range: 67K - 101K
Additional Sales bonus and Car allowance
