The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Strategy and Improvement portfolio at IWK Health Centre. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our organization's strategic framework.

The successful candidate will have a Master's Level Degree in a health-related discipline or a related field, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field of expertise, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. You will possess expert content knowledge in key areas of leadership responsibility, including strategic planning, quality improvement methodologies, and cultural competence.

As a Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our annual strategic plan, overseeing the management and delivery of approved business cases and provincial transformation initiatives, and developing and implementing our continuous improvement program. You will also be accountable for our enterprise risk management framework, including our risk and control registers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, interest-based negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. You will also possess strong presentation and public speaking skills, as well as advanced communication skills and a positive energetic public persona. Cultural competence and expertise in leading complex change are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our annual strategic plan

Requirements:
