Job Title: General Foreman

Job Summary:
Trade Craft Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreman to lead our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of prioritizing work schedules, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize work schedules to meet preparation deadlines and standards
  • Train or arrange for the training of workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Assist in managing the preparation and execution of construction projects, planning labor, equipment, and material delivery requirements
  • Responsible for crew safety, promoting a safe work environment, and conforming to safety policies and work procedures
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with all levels of coworkers, supervisors, clients, and public while providing leadership and work direction to the crew
  • Organize and track crew time and activity
  • Complete timely reporting of accidents, near misses, first aid, and incidents
  • Identify materials and tool requirements to be on-hand as needed
  • Ensure working tools are used properly and returned, defective equipment tagged and turned in
  • Complete work orders and track field quantities
  • Inform manager of any scheduling conflicts and resolve work problems
  • Complete all required paperwork, such as toolbox talks, job sheets, traffic plans, etc.
  • Review all jobs assigned to ensure no issues and plan effective use of all materials

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of Construction Foreman experience required
  • High-School Diploma a minimum, preferably vocational training and/or trade certificates
  • Demonstrated experience in work organization and supervision of at least 10 people
  • Experience with forming, framing, taping/plastering, and carpentry
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and other various construction-related drawings
  • Personable and able to interact appropriately with customers and suppliers
  • Punctual, reliable, and accountable for tools/materials being used on site
  • Good knowledge of various trades (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Physically fit (can lift 50+ lbs) and work in all types of weather and terrain
  • Can accommodate a flexible working schedule to accommodate client requirements
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License, clean driving record
  • Must be able to provide references for work performed and equipment used upon request
