About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Ashoka Indian Restaurant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our kitchen and service teams are well-coordinated and efficient.

Supervise and Train Staff

Supervise and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent service to our customers.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate and manage inventory and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.

Lead by Example

Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in all aspects of your work.

Communicate Effectively

Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned with our goals and objectives.

Maintain Records and Reports

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management to inform business decisions.

Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, providing them with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in our kitchen and service teams.

Support for Youth and Mature Workers

Provide on-the-job training tailored to youth and mature workers, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in our team.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role

Language

English

Work Hours

40 hours per week
