Job Summary:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Undergraduate & Admissions Assistant (Term). This role will provide critical support to students, applicants, and faculty members in the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for general inquiries and provide timely responses to student and faculty requests.
  • Coordinate appointments and meetings for prospective students, applicants, and current students to address individual needs.
  • Provide detailed information regarding admission requirements, policies, and procedures to prospective students and applicants.
  • Update and maintain accurate and up-to-date database records.
  • Apply established file retention standards in data administration activities.
  • Provide basic support and general referrals to individuals in distress.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of recent and related experience with student front-line service and administrative experience working with students, preferably within the University of Toronto or another post-secondary institution.
  • Experience providing front-line student support and providing information regarding admissions, fees, enrollment, and other student-related issues.
  • Experience preparing routine correspondence.
  • Experience working with databases, researching, and interpreting data and preparing reports. Experience maintaining student records and files.
  • Experience with the University's undergraduate programs, procedures, guidelines, and program offerings, or other related post-secondary student programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be welcoming and professional, able to deal with sometimes difficult and/or demanding individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple inquiries simultaneously, prioritize work, and work under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise tact, judgment, and diplomacy especially when dealing with confidential information or complaints.

This is a term position until May 31, 2026. The role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines.
