The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out recruitment and admissions activities to attract and admit a diverse group of students/learners aligned with the School of Medicine's mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and engage with prospective students
  • Provide front-line admissions support to prospective students, applicants, and the public
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and student, community, advocacy, and professional groups
  • Organize and support recruitment and promotional events related to the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME), Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, and the Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) residency training programs
  • Provide administrative support and reporting to the admissions team

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • A post-secondary diploma in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in recruitment, admissions, health administration, sales, marketing, and post-secondary education
  • Experience in attracting and assessing candidates, particularly in medical education or healthcare
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
