Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Product Management and Business Development will spearhead the product management division for the ICS Canada Product Suite. This pivotal role entails overseeing a team responsible for every facet of the product life cycle, with a strong emphasis on fostering sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of commercial acumen and technical proficiency, alongside a strategic outlook and robust execution capabilities. They will integrate market insights and client feedback into product roadmaps and strategic initiatives while demonstrating a solid grasp of governance and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical execution, with a keen focus on industry trends and client requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize ongoing initiatives, developing business cases as necessary.
  • Lead the formulation of product roadmaps, pinpointing and addressing critical gaps.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of market dynamics to identify growth opportunities and product enhancements.
  • Define market needs for current and future offerings through comprehensive market research and continuous engagement with clients and industry players.
  • Guide the conception and design of new products, incorporating client feedback, conducting buy/build/partner analyses, and aligning development/testing with design and pricing strategies.
  • Manage product pricing strategies, refining existing models and creating new ones as needed.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with all relevant departments.
  • Analyze potential partnerships and alliances.
  • Play a significant role in the evolution of the Product Management organization.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and seize additional revenue opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Formulate strategic initiatives in partnership with the ICS International management team, including developing frameworks to analyze current business and partnership opportunities.
  • Oversee the deliverables for the annual comprehensive strategy process for ICS Canada.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy & Business Development team in the U.S. to ensure a unified strategy for the ICS Division.
  • Lead or assist in creating comprehensive business cases to support new initiatives, encompassing market analysis, value propositions, strategic alignment, economic models, and launch strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Product Management or Business Development, preferably in leadership roles with increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to transition from Waterfall to Agile environments.
  • A solid understanding of the financial services sector is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Prior experience in team leadership is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
