Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to oversee the pricing function as the Vice President of Pricing Strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will involve collaboration with executive teams to devise pricing strategies that align with the company's objectives across various specialty products. The successful candidate will exemplify leadership qualities and thrive in a dynamic environment.

  1. Direct and enhance pricing strategies across ERGO Group AG's diverse product offerings in the insurance market.
  2. Analyze and determine pricing structures in alignment with product innovation, utilizing actuarial and statistical methodologies.
  3. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and engineering teams to ensure comprehensive expertise is integrated into pricing models.
  4. Provide strategic insights to senior management regarding pricing methodologies and potential solutions to enhance profitability.
  5. Evaluate product performance and provide actionable recommendations based on thorough analysis.
  6. Conduct research to identify actuarial solutions tailored to specific product lines.
  7. Engage with business partners to steer product strategies towards profitable outcomes.
  8. Oversee the timelines and deliverables of pricing projects, coordinating with various contributors.
  9. Prepare actuarial documentation to facilitate discussions with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  10. Foster partnerships within ERGO Group AG and the broader industry to share insights and stay informed on current initiatives.
  11. Guide and mentor team members in pricing and leadership competencies.
  12. Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to support the success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on quantitative analysis.
  2. A minimum of 12 years of experience in actuarial or pricing analytics within the insurance or consulting sectors, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  3. Possession of a professional actuarial designation is mandatory.
  4. At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
  5. Extensive knowledge of actuarial models and pricing techniques, particularly in personal and commercial insurance.
  6. Understanding of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
  7. Familiarity with both traditional and alternative reinsurance markets.
  8. Proficient in MS Office Suite and actuarial software, particularly R.
  9. Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  10. Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to change.
  11. Ability to mentor others and share expertise effectively.
  12. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
