Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Product Management and Business Development will spearhead the product management division for the ICS Canada Product Suite. This role entails overseeing a team responsible for every phase of the product life cycle, with a strong emphasis on promoting sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of commercial acumen and technical knowledge, along with a strategic outlook and exceptional execution capabilities. They will integrate market insights and client feedback into product strategies and roadmaps while demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of governance and shareholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical execution, with a focus on industry trends and client demands.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize ongoing initiatives, developing business cases as necessary.
  • Lead the creation of product roadmaps, pinpointing and addressing significant gaps.
  • Continuously evaluate market conditions to identify growth opportunities and product enhancements.
  • Define market requirements for current and future offerings through market research and ongoing customer engagement.
  • Direct the identification and design of new products, incorporating client feedback, conducting buy/build/partner analyses, and aligning development with design and pricing strategies.
  • Manage product pricing strategies, refining existing models and developing new ones as needed.
  • Formulate and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with all relevant departments.
  • Analyze potential partnerships to enhance product offerings.
  • Play a pivotal role in the evolution of the Product Management organization.
  • Business Development – Collaborate with the team to identify and secure additional revenue opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Strategic Planning – Partner with the ICS International management team to formulate and implement strategic initiatives, including frameworks for analyzing existing business and exploring new market opportunities.
  • Manage deliverables for the annual comprehensive strategy process for ICS Canada.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy & Business Development team in the U.S. to ensure a unified strategy for the ICS Division.
  • Business Case Development – Lead or assist in creating comprehensive business cases to support new initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Product Management/Business Development, preferably in leadership roles with increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience working with Agile teams and transitioning from Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services sector is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Prior experience in team leadership is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
