Context and Responsibilities
As the Director of Product Management, you will lead a team comprising two executives and twelve professionals overseeing a portfolio of school management solutions. Your role will be pivotal in defining processes, practices, planning, capacity management, and ensuring the successful delivery of the entire suite of school management solutions. You will collaborate closely with department heads to shape the vision and development of these solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Champion the organizational vision and execute strategic initiatives in partnership with sector managers;
- Guide, support, and energize your team, overseeing their performance and professional growth while fostering an environment of continuous improvement;
- Establish a robust product management framework to deliver high value to clients, based on a deep understanding of customer needs, prioritization processes ensuring solution sustainability, and rigorous monitoring of product management practices using recognized methodologies, OKRs, and KPIs;
- Optimize resource allocation to ensure synergy and equitable workload distribution among teams;
- Conduct strategic assessments to facilitate informed decision-making;
- Collaborate closely with support/services and development teams to implement, consolidate, sustain, or promptly discontinue solutions if their effectiveness is not substantiated;
- Prepare and present executive-level documentation for the board to enable optimal decisions regarding product management and organizational efficiency.
- University degree in a relevant discipline or a combination of equivalent experience and education;
- A minimum of seven to ten years of experience in product management within the IT sector;
- At least five years of management experience;
- Relevant experience in complex IT environments, with a strong interest in education and digital domains;
- Awareness of the latest industry trends;
- Strong political acumen;
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills;
- Fluency in French and functional proficiency in English;
- Demonstrated initiative, rigor, and professionalism;
- Customer service-oriented mindset;
- Motivational leadership focused on achieving results;
