About the Role

Centurion Asset Management Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Vice President, Property Operations. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of Centurion's residential, multi-family, commercial, and student housing properties across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Development: Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring proactive and timely resolution of staff, contractor, vendor, and consultant performance issues.
  • Customer Service: Professionally and courteously oversee the management of all Resident and Employee inquiries, feedback, complaints, or concerns, ensuring a high level of Resident and Employee satisfaction.
  • Ongoing Operations: Oversee the professional management, administration, and leasing of all multi-family residential, commercial, and student residence rental properties, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing vacancy.
  • Administration and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all provincial legislation, complete operating and financial reporting, and maintain an orderly office area.
  • Sales and Marketing: Work with the marketing and leasing teams to develop and implement innovative sales and marketing initiatives, maintaining a constant awareness of the competitive environment.
  • Risk Management: Ensure ongoing compliance with current codes, technical safety standards, and legislation, assisting with effective and prompt resolution of municipal and provincial work orders.
  • Capital Project and Building Management: Liaise with the Vice President of Technical Service and Innovations and Consultants for major capital projects, ensuring preventative building maintenance and in-suite renovations are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • A passion for excellence in customer service delivery.
  • Post-Secondary degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' Multi-Residential Operational experience within a national portfolio.
  • Student housing operations experience considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated track record in successfully managing operating and financial performance.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate Employees to achieve common goals and operational objectives.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to independently resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning, and common sense.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the aptitude to develop creative strategic and effective solutions to difficult issues in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Strong command of MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Yardi property management systems.
