Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Property Operations, the Vice President of Property Operations is accountable for overseeing all facets of Centurion's residential, multi-family, commercial, and student housing operations throughout Canada. This role includes direct management and supervision of all Property Directors, ensuring that our properties are managed effectively and efficiently to meet established standards and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

Foster and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Proactively address performance issues related to staff, contractors, vendors, and consultants. Cultivate connections within the industry to enhance brand recognition.

Customer Experience

Oversee the management of all Resident and Employee inquiries, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through adherence to Centurion's Vision, Mission, and Values.

Operational Oversight

Manage the administration and leasing of all multi-family residential, commercial, and student housing properties. Ensure properties operate in alignment with management expectations and approved budgets, while optimizing revenue and minimizing vacancies.

Administration and Reporting

Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies. Oversee the preparation of financial reports and assist in the development of annual operating budgets.

Sales and Marketing Initiatives

Collaborate with marketing teams to devise innovative sales strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility and market presence.

Risk Management

Ensure compliance with relevant codes and legislation, and assist in the resolution of municipal and provincial work orders.

Capital Project Management

Coordinate with the Vice President of Technical Services for major capital projects, ensuring timely inspections and adherence to established standards.

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to excellence in customer service;
  • A degree in business or a related field;
  • A minimum of 10 years of operational experience in Multi-Residential management;
  • Experience in student housing operations is advantageous;
  • A proven track record in managing financial performance;
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Yardi property management systems.
