Position Overview

The Vice President of Marketing will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, with accountability to the Chief Operating Officer of Property Operations and the Chief Financial Officer. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for Centurion Asset Management Inc. and its affiliates on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, serving as a key liaison between Centurion and its advertising partners. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through adherence to Centurion's Vision, Mission, and Values.

Residential Marketing
Drive marketing initiatives for our multi-family apartment and student housing operations, ensuring robust brand visibility across our national portfolio. Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Leasing and Call Centre Operations to provide essential marketing resources that meet occupancy and market rent objectives. Oversee the development of marketing materials and branding for new acquisitions, ensuring integration into the Centurion community.

Investment Marketing
Partner with the Executive Vice President of Investment Sales to create targeted strategies that enhance our visibility among investment institutions and high-net-worth individuals. Identify sponsorship opportunities that elevate Centurion's brand recognition within the industry.

Operational Excellence
Collaborate with various departments to fulfill their marketing needs, create annual marketing budgets, and lead the development of a cohesive national marketing strategy. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and platforms.

Team Leadership
Oversee the daily operations of the Marketing Team, guiding sub-teams in areas such as Resident Experience, Brand & Communications, and Digital Marketing. Implement performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary.

Brand Management
Supervise brand and social media strategies, ensuring a positive online presence for Centurion. Work with Human Resources to strengthen our employer brand and propose campaigns that enhance our visibility in the job market.

Industry Insight
Maintain awareness of competitive dynamics and conduct research to inform strategic marketing decisions. Participate in executive discussions to provide insights on marketing initiatives and their alignment with Centurion's objectives.

Compliance Oversight
Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure adherence to compliance standards in marketing practices. Review all marketing materials to guarantee they meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications within the real estate sector;
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate teams;
  • Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies for a national portfolio;
  • Strong network within the marketing industry;
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving goals;
  • Strong project management capabilities;
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, along with knowledge of SEO, SEM, CMS, and HTML.
