Job Overview: Veridian Homes, a prominent organization in real estate management and community development, is in search of a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Vice President of Operations. This position is pivotal in overseeing the operational and financial success of our organization and its property portfolio.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, a solid background in both residential and commercial property management, and a comprehensive understanding of financial principles. A commitment to providing outstanding service to our team, tenants, and partners is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver strategic leadership and guidance to the operational team, ensuring effective management of daily activities.
  2. Oversee all aspects of residential and commercial property management, including leasing strategies, maintenance operations, and capital improvement projects to maximize performance and satisfaction for tenants and property owners.
  3. Manage homeowner and condominium association operations, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and fostering community engagement.
  4. Supervise the financial health of the organization and its properties, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  5. Build and sustain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders, acting as the main contact for property-related matters.
  6. Keep informed about market dynamics, regulatory updates, and industry best practices to promote ongoing improvement and innovation across all managed properties.
  7. Collaborate with and mentor team members to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications: We seek candidates who possess a unique combination of skills and experience for this role:

  1. A degree in real estate, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  2. At least 10 years of leadership experience in property management, with a proven history of success in managing both residential and commercial portfolios.
  3. Extensive knowledge of various operational functions, including finance, customer service, and personnel management.
  4. Capability to design, streamline, and implement new operational frameworks that enhance efficiency and adapt to changing business needs.
  5. Strong understanding of property management and tenant/landlord regulations, laws, and practices.
  6. Proficient in leasing and marketing strategies.
  7. Ability to assess, analyze, and respond to issues effectively, making sound decisions and taking appropriate actions.
  8. Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships.
