Your Role: As a Civil Precast Design Engineer, you will spearhead both the technical and creative dimensions of our operations. From initial concept through to execution, you will be integral in transforming client requirements into efficient and cost-effective precast concrete products. Collaboration with various teams, including sales, production, and clients, will be essential to ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturing while adhering to rigorous quality standards.
Here’s a snapshot of your daily responsibilities:
  • Design and innovate complex precast concrete products, converting customer specifications into functional, manufacturable designs.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams and clients throughout the design and product development phases.
  • Create accurate and organized production drawings, ensuring manufacturability.
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving across departments to address manufacturing challenges and improve production workflows.
  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site assessments to ensure designs align with practical applications.
  • Support quality management and safety systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements by keeping up with evolving design codes, tools, and practices.
Quality Assurance Emphasis: You will champion quality, assisting the company in maintaining and surpassing industry certifications. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections and audits, as well as contributing to the optimization of concrete mix designs, thereby reinforcing the company's reputation for quality and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications:
  • Education & Credentials: A degree in Civil Engineering along with a P. Eng designation.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in a comparable role, with experience in engineering design and quality assurance/control, preferably within the manufacturing or construction industries.
  • Skills: Proficiency in precast concrete, steel design, and software such as AutoCAD and structural analysis tools, along with a solid understanding of quality standards.
  • Mindset: A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
