DMC Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Civil Precast Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical and creative aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate and design complex precast concrete products, translating customer specifications into functional, manufacturable designs.
- Provide technical guidance to sales teams and clients during the design and product development process.
- Generate precise and organized production drawings, ensuring manufacturing feasibility.
- Engage in hands-on collaboration across departments to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and enhance production workflows.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site visits to align designs with practical applications.
- Actively support quality management and safety systems, ensuring that products meet industry standards like COR, CWB, CPCQA, and CSA.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements by maintaining knowledge of evolving design codes, tools, and practices.
Quality Assurance Focus:
You will be an advocate for quality, helping our company maintain and exceed industry certifications. From performing inspections and audits to assisting in optimizing our concrete mix designs, your work will help solidify our reputation for quality and environmental responsibility.
Requirements:
- Education & Credentials: A Civil Engineering degree along with your P. Eng designation.
- Experience: At least two years in a similar role, with experience in both engineering design and quality assurance/control, ideally in the manufacturing or construction sector.
- Skills: Expertise in precast concrete, steel design, and software like AutoCAD and structural analysis tools (FEA), alongside a strong grasp of quality standards such as ISO 9001, CSA, and PCI MNL-116/117.
- Mindset: A forward-thinking, problem-solving approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
