**About the Role**

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and develop civil engineering projects for mining, energy, and industrial clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from conceptual to detailed design.
  • Develop and implement site development plans, including pipe and open channel hydraulics.
  • Design and manage tailings and slurry piping systems.
  • Conduct storm water management and runoff calculations, including sizing ditches, culverts, and ponds.
  • Interpret and apply geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of various piping materials, fittings, and joining methods.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

**Requirements**

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register or already registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
  • 6-12 years of experience in civil engineering design within mining, energy, and/or industrial projects.
  • Strong experience in site development, pipe and open channel hydraulics, and tailings/slurry piping design.
  • Excellent organizational, technical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood.
