Your Role: As a Design Engineer, you will spearhead both the technical and creative dimensions of our projects. From initial concept through to execution, you will be instrumental in converting client requirements into effective and economical precast concrete products. Collaboration with various teams, including sales, production, and clients, will be essential to ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturing and comply with rigorous quality standards.
Here’s a snapshot of your daily responsibilities:
  • Design and innovate complex precast concrete products, transforming customer specifications into functional, manufacturable designs.
  • Offer technical support to sales teams and clients throughout the design and product development phases.
  • Create detailed and organized production drawings, ensuring feasibility for manufacturing.
  • Engage in cross-departmental collaboration to address manufacturing challenges and improve production processes.
  • Participate in project meetings, design evaluations, and site assessments to ensure designs align with practical applications.
  • Support quality management and safety protocols, ensuring products meet industry standards.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements by keeping up with evolving design codes, tools, and practices.
Focus on Quality Assurance: You will champion quality, assisting the client in maintaining and surpassing industry certifications. Your role will involve conducting inspections and audits, as well as optimizing concrete mix designs, thereby reinforcing the client’s reputation for quality and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications:
  • Education & Credentials: A degree in Civil Engineering along with your P. Eng designation.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in a similar capacity, with experience in engineering design and quality assurance/control, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in precast concrete, steel design, and software such as AutoCAD and structural analysis tools, along with a solid understanding of quality standards.
  • Mindset: A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
