Position Overview

The role of the Admissions and Registration Officer encompasses the critical responsibilities of evaluating admission applications and transfer credits for prospective students. This position requires effective communication with applicants throughout their journey, compiling essential enrollment statistics, assisting with student registration processes, and maintaining accurate student records. Additionally, the officer provides vital administrative support and collaborates with various institutional stakeholders to facilitate smooth enrollment experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate admission applications and transfer credit requests
  • Maintain ongoing communication with applicants regarding their application progress and requirements
  • Compile and analyze enrollment data reports
  • Assist in the student registration process
  • Guide stakeholders on admission policies and procedures
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of student records
  • Address inquiries related to admissions and registration
  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade 12 along with an Associate Degree, a two-year diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a post-secondary educational environment

  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with educational systems and processes
  • Proficiency in generating reports from databases
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective problem-solving skills for daily operational challenges

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer
  • Standard office environment
  • Occasional lifting and moving of heavier items
  • Potential for local travel as required
