Nuclear Performance Improvement Coordinator Job Description

About the Role

The Nuclear Performance Improvement Coordinator is a key member of the Calian Nuclear team, responsible for driving process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Analysis and Improvement

Analyze current operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance workflow, safety, and operational effectiveness while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Participate in technical project teams to support project planning, development, and realization, and assist in maintaining the existing Quality Management System to ensure its fitness for purpose.

Audit and Quality Management

Conduct thorough audits of management system processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance activities, audit results, and safety compliance records.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis

Monitor and analyze quality assurance and safety data, identifying trends and potential risks, and suggesting improvements to enhance overall performance.

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience

A relevant undergraduate degree in Sciences, Engineering, Nuclear, or Business, and 3-5+ years of experience working within Process Improvement/Quality Assurance.

Skills and Knowledge

Proven experience working the end-to-end process of process improvement, knowledge of applicable Quality Management and Nuclear standards, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Sharepoint.

Personal Qualities

A clear sense of urgency to achieve results, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and the ability to think independently and provide insight and solutions to complex problems.
