Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for performing cardiac nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring the highest quality diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Radio Pharmaceutical Preparation and Quality Management
  • Perform cardiac nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic imaging
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and adhere to a strict code of aseptic techniques
  • Assist, instruct, obtain consent, and educate patients prior to, during, and after procedures
  • Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining accurate dispensing logs
  • Acquire, process, and archive nuclear medicine SPECT imaging studies (Rest and Stress)
  • Observe and report all malfunctions in nuclear medicine equipment
  • Inform designated physicians of cases with critical abnormal findings
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality control procedures on equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department
Requirements
  • Hold a college diploma in nuclear medicine technology
  • Be an active member of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Be an active member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Hold a valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
  • Experience as a registered technologist and with PACs system is preferred
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
