Job Summary

The Licensed Technologist, Nuclear Medicine will work under the clinical manager's supervision to perform diagnostic examinations of organ physiology using radioactive substances to enable the doctor to make a diagnosis. They will use techniques to produce images that help establish a diagnosis in the case of radiodiagnosis and nuclear medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic examinations of organ physiology using radioactive substances
  • Use techniques to produce images that help establish a diagnosis
  • Work under the clinical manager's supervision
  • Respect safety standards and radiation protection measures

Requirements

  • Hold a diploma in nuclear medicine technology
  • Be an active member of the Ontario Technologists in Radiation Medicine (OTRMO)
  • Be an active member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Hold a valid certification in cardiorespiratory resuscitation
  • Have at least six months of experience as a licensed technologist in a hospital setting
  • Be proficient in both official languages (French and English) at an intermediate level
