POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to take on the role of Head of Financial Strategy. This pivotal position will oversee the Annual Budget process, drive Monthly Reporting and Forecasting efforts, and keep senior management and the Board informed about the organization's financial health. This role offers flexibility with a hybrid work model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this influential role, you will:

  1. Conduct comprehensive data analysis, develop logical scenario assessments, produce precise forecasts, and provide sound recommendations to senior executives.
  2. Collaborate closely with the CFO, finance team, and broader leadership to create a medium to long-term financial strategy.
  3. Work alongside department leaders to guide, plan, and manage their budgets and actual expenditures.
  4. Ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data across the organization.
  5. Mentor and develop FP&A team members as the organization expands.
  6. Lead the implementation of efficient budgeting and forecasting processes that incorporate input from various stakeholders while striving to meet company objectives.
  7. Oversee the capital expenditure planning and reporting process, including ROI and DCF analysis, approvals, and tracking.
  8. Design and implement a robust automated self-service financial reporting and KPI system to provide management with insights, performance metrics, and financial analytics for enhanced decision-making.
  9. Translate financial outcomes into operational strategies aimed at improving EBITDA and accelerating business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with significant relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed analyses and deep dives into financial data.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in producing and delivering presentations for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Ability to consolidate diverse financial data into clear business summaries.
  • Exceptional analytical and reconciliation skills regarding detailed financial information.
  • Capability to partner with leadership to align with strategic goals.
  • Adept at thriving in a fast-paced, complex environment with multiple products and delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated financial leadership with a focus on translating insights into actionable operational recommendations.
  • Fluency in English is required; bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus.
