Key Responsibilities

  • Support a team of Receivables Specialists by:
    • Assisting in the determination of credit terms for client accounts
    • Managing invoice escalations and modifications
    • Overseeing collections escalations
    • Effectively distributing new clients among team members
  • Conduct various reconciliations, including:
    • Identifying missing payments
    • Preparing monthly EDC declarations
    • Ensuring alignment between our accounting system and A/R insurance portal
  • Analyze client data:
    • Verifying that customer credit limits are appropriately set
    • Monitoring changes in customer spending
    • Reviewing customer feedback
  • Contribute to the creation of a new client onboarding package
  • Evaluate internal processes within the Receivables function and implement enhancements as needed
  • Serve as a backup for essential Receivables tasks (invoicing, collections, processing customer payments, month-end reconciliations, etc.)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a financial or accounting capacity, particularly in Accounts Receivable functions such as:
    • Generating invoices
    • Setting credit terms for client accounts
    • Managing customer collections
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in various financial systems and tools, with the capability to adapt to new technologies and evolving processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying issues, investigating discrepancies, and proposing solutions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building positive relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and active listening
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment, sharing ideas and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement in financial processes and overall efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for tasks such as spreadsheet analysis (Excel), document creation (Word), and email communication (Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel for job-related purposes, as necessary.

Additional Considerations

  • Diploma, degree, or enrollment in post-secondary education in Accounting or Business is a plus
  • Previous experience with financial software such as NetSuite, EDC, D&B, or customer invoice portals
  • Familiarity with credit management and control processes
  • Experience in assisting team members with customer escalations is advantageous
