About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient processing of payments, updating customer files, and maintaining quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the processing of payments and update customer files to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries.
  • Manage all billing and reporting activities in line with deadlines.
  • Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence.
  • Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received.
  • Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Log all customer payments to the correct reports.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyze customer accounts and make decisions based on those analyses.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Cash Collections.
  • Command of Collect Outstanding.
  • Collection Processes experience.
  • Experience with consumer collections.
  • Proficiency in Collecting Payments.
  • Adeptness in Collector.
  • 2+ years of prior high volume collections experience.
  • Prior experience working with collections/accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills.
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred.
