Key Responsibilities

  • Support a team of Accounts Receivable professionals by:
    • Assisting in the determination of credit terms for client accounts
    • Managing invoice revisions and escalations
    • Overseeing collections processes
    • Assigning new client accounts to team members
  • Conduct various reconciliations, including:
    • Identifying missing payments
    • Preparing monthly EDC declarations
    • Ensuring alignment between our accounting system and A/R insurance portal
  • Analyze client data:
    • Reviewing customer credit limits
    • Monitoring changes in customer spending
    • Evaluating customer feedback
  • Assist in creating a comprehensive package for new clients
  • Evaluate and enhance internal processes within the Accounts Receivable department
  • Provide backup support for essential Accounts Receivable tasks, including invoicing, collections, and month-end reconciliations
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Experience in finance or accounting, particularly in Accounts Receivable functions such as:
    • Invoice generation
    • Setting credit terms
    • Collection efforts
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in various financial systems and tools, with adaptability to new technologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
  • Effective problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to team dynamics
  • Proactive in seeking improvements in financial processes and efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for job-related tasks

Additional Considerations

  • Preference for candidates with a diploma or degree in Accounting or Business
  • Experience with NetSuite, EDC, D&B, or similar customer invoicing systems
  • Knowledge of credit management practices
  • Experience assisting colleagues with customer escalations
