Director, Research Operations and Administration

Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage the research administration and operations team to ensure seamless coordination and execution of research projects and programs.
- Collaborate closely with researchers to facilitate, support, and coordinate research projects, ensuring alignment with CancerCare Manitoba's cancer and blood disorders research priorities.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive research excellence and operational efficiency.
- Master's level degree in a health or science-related discipline.
- 7 years of experience working in a research/medical laboratory or other research environment.
- 7 years of experience working collaboratively within a team environment with proven success through strong leadership and the building of collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic initiatives or change management.
- Doctorate level degree in a health- or science-related discipline.
- Master of Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Experience managing laboratory and/or research operations in a healthcare facility.
- Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry items.
- Interruptions to respond to questions are common.
- Must have a satisfactory employment record.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Ability to speak French.
