Position Overview

This position is entirely on-site. The HR Operations Specialist will assist in a diverse range of HR initiatives including talent acquisition, employee engagement, workplace safety, and professional development. The HR Operations Specialist will also offer support to internal teams regarding employee-related matters (such as performance evaluations, separations, etc.). Additionally, the HR Operations Specialist will actively contribute to ongoing projects and analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in HR initiatives and offerings including:
    1. comprehensive recruitment
    2. employee benefits
    3. performance evaluations
    4. employee engagement
    5. training and professional growth
    6. workplace safety
  2. Collaborate with the HR Director for strategic planning and other HR projects.
  3. Compile reports and documentation for workplace safety and insurance, support disability management, and facilitate return-to-work strategies.
  4. Manage full-cycle recruitment processes for both internal and external roles (including crafting job descriptions, strategically posting job advertisements, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, conducting background checks, maintaining employee records, and liaising with service providers).
  5. Draft offer letters, employment communications, and periodic HR management reports (such as recruitment metrics, employee demographics, workplace safety, etc.).
  6. Create and maintain HR documentation.
  7. Continuously update training records and HR databases.
  8. Prepare onboarding materials and oversee new employee orientation.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or Coordinator role.
  2. Relevant diploma or degree in Human Resources.
  3. Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  4. Demonstrated experience with workplace safety and insurance processes (modified duties, return-to-work programs, etc.).
  5. General HR expertise in:
    1. employee engagement
    2. training and professional development
    3. performance evaluations
    4. employment-related laws
    5. workplace safety
  6. Strong computer proficiency, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  8. Outstanding organizational and time management skills with a capacity for problem-solving.
  9. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  10. Adaptable and flexible in fast-paced settings, with a proven track record of taking initiative and acting with urgency.
