Position Overview

This position is entirely on-site. The HR Operations Specialist will assist in a diverse range of HR initiatives, encompassing talent acquisition, employee engagement, workplace safety, and professional development. The HR Operations Specialist will also offer support to internal partners regarding employee-related matters (such as performance evaluations, separations, etc.). Additionally, this role will actively contribute to ongoing projects and reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with HR initiatives and services, including:
    1. comprehensive recruitment
    2. employee benefits
    3. performance evaluations
    4. employee engagement
    5. training and professional development
    6. workplace safety
  2. Collaborate with the HR Director for strategic planning and other HR projects.
  3. Generate reports and documentation for workplace safety and insurance, aid in disability management, and facilitate return-to-work programs.
  4. Manage recruitment processes for both internal and external roles (including creating job descriptions, strategically posting job advertisements, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, maintaining employee records, and liaising with external vendors).
  5. Draft offer letters, employment communications, and periodic HR management reports (such as recruitment statistics, employee counts, workplace safety metrics, etc.).
  6. Design, develop, and maintain HR documentation.
  7. Continuously update training records and HR databases.
  8. Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate orientation for new hires.
Required Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or Coordinator role.
  2. Completion of a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources.
  3. In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  4. Demonstrated experience with workplace safety and insurance processes (including modified duties and return-to-work strategies).
  5. General HR knowledge in areas such as:
    1. employee engagement
    2. training and professional development
    3. performance evaluations
    4. employment-related legislation
    5. workplace safety
  6. Strong computer proficiency, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, with a knack for problem-solving.
  9. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  10. Adaptable and flexible in fast-paced settings, with a proven track record of taking initiative and responding promptly.
