Hotel Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Edmonton NW/St. Albert. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Operational Policies and Procedures: You will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the smooth operation of our hotel, including staff supervision, guest services, and maintenance.
  • Recruit, Hire, and Supervise Staff: You will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising a team of staff members, including front desk agents, housekeepers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews and Training Sessions: You will be responsible for conducting regular performance reviews and training sessions to ensure that our staff members are equipped to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Negotiate with Clients and Oversee Maintenance Activities: You will be responsible for negotiating with clients and overseeing maintenance activities, including repairs and renovations.
  • Manage Events and Inventory: You will be responsible for managing events and inventory, including ordering supplies and managing our hotel's inventory.
  • Address Customer Concerns and Complaints: You will be responsible for addressing customer concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in hotel operations or a related field is required.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Office, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Security Requirements: Bondable and basic security clearance is required.
  • Transportation: A valid driver's license and own vehicle are required.
