About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Edmonton. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, ensuring that they are aligned with the hotel's goals and objectives.

Recruit and Hire Staff

Recruit and hire staff to fill vacant positions, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and qualifications to perform their duties.

Supervise Staff

Supervise and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.

Negotiate with Suppliers

Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for the hotel, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money.

Prepare Budgets and Monitor Finances

Prepare budgets and monitor finances to ensure that the hotel is operating within its means and that we are meeting our financial targets.

Maintenance and Repairs

Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and that any repairs are carried out promptly.

Enforce Policies and Procedures

Enforce policies and procedures to ensure that they are being followed by all staff members.

Client Service

Assist clients/guests with special needs, ensuring that they receive the highest level of service and that their needs are met.

Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that they are fair and reasonable and that they meet the needs of the hotel.

Supervision
  • Working Groups

Work with various working groups to ensure that the hotel's goals and objectives are being met.

Staff Supervision

Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, ensuring that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.

Work Term and Hours

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week.
