About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Edmonton. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily hotel operations, ensuring that they are aligned with our company's goals and objectives.

Recruit and Hire Staff

Recruit, hire, and train high-quality staff to join our hotel team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent service to our guests.

Supervise Staff

Supervise and manage our hotel staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure that they are performing to the best of their ability.

Negotiate with Suppliers

Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for our hotel, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money.

Prepare Budgets and Monitor Finances

Prepare and manage budgets for our hotel, monitoring our finances and making adjustments as needed to ensure that we are operating within our means.

Maintain Hotel Facilities

Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities, ensuring that they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Enforce Policies and Procedures

Enforce our hotel's policies and procedures, ensuring that they are followed by all staff members.

Assist Guests

Assist our guests with any special needs or requests, ensuring that they have a positive and memorable experience at our hotel.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish and manage work schedules for our hotel staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage at all times.

Requirements
  • Education

A college or CEGEP diploma is required.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in a hotel management role is required.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Term

This is a permanent position.

Hours

30-40 hours per week.
