Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Barrie. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and guests with computer-related issues, including network access, system performance, and software installation.
  • Collaborate with other technical support analysts to resolve complex technical issues and maintain a problems and solutions log.
  • Supervise and train junior technical support staff to ensure seamless delivery of technical support services.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as Web-server backup and recovery operations, to ensure the stability and security of our systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff and guests to ensure exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
