Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Barrie. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide assistance to employees experiencing difficulties with computer systems, networks, and software.
  • Network Administration: Give access to computer networks, report on system performance, and perform backup and recovery operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Consult technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions to technical issues.
  • Documentation: Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other technical support workers in this group and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to employees and respond to their technical inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, efficient, honest, and a team player.
