Job Overview:

The Global Anti-Money Laundering (GAML) division at TD is responsible for establishing and maintaining TD's Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) initiatives to ensure adherence to relevant AML/ATF regulatory standards in the regions where TD operates.

The Business Management team is a newly formed unit within GAML, concentrating on AML/ATF budgeting, forecasting Full-Time Equivalents (FTE), onboarding processes, and internal communications. Daily responsibilities may involve engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, conducting thorough research, and preparing comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold a high standard of integrity while managing sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Assist the Senior Manager in crafting reports and presenting analytical findings to the Executive team and other stakeholders regarding GAML's overall operations.
  • Aid in the development and periodic assessment of internal business procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline existing operational governance, monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with GAML stakeholders to optimize solutions that support TD's GAML operations, including streamlining onboarding and offboarding requests, as well as tracking and reporting on personnel, resources, and technology.
  • Drive various strategic projects, including transformational initiatives aimed at enabling functional growth, risk management, and integrated strategy execution; ensure senior executives are informed of relevant updates and progress.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategic planning, business case justifications, and cost/benefit analyses for operational expenditures and initiatives that support business processes and approved projects.
  • Assist in devising cost-effective solutions for the deployment of information processing and communication technologies.
  • Identify issues that require attention and engage in solution development directly or in consultation with relevant function/business leaders and other internal/external groups as necessary.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of executive-level materials, financial analyses, and help articulate the strategic vision of the business.
  • Maintain an inventory of key business activities, initiatives, and achievements for use in business updates, communications, media publications, conferences, etc.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and business partners across a wide range of initiatives and functional areas.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks; provide regular status updates, escalate key issues appropriately, and propose solutions and remediation plans.
  • Manage a growing team to support departmental operations effectively.

Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
